About this property

The new addition to this house was completed in 2020. We bumped the back of the house out an additional 10' which adds 10' to the living room and we added a 3rd full bathroom off the master bedroom thus creating a true master suite.

This original home was constructed in 2011. The house is about 300 yards to the YMCA. 0.8 miles to the south entrance of Peninsula State Park. 1.3 miles to the downtown Fish Creek corner. The Top of The Hill Shops are a 0.5 miles.

This home is now 1,930 sq. ft. and within walking distance of the Gibraltar High School area. This property borders a trail that leads directly into Peninsula State Park and right to countless miles of hiking trails. (About a 200 yd walk and you are in the park)

There are three full baths in this home. The master suite has a private bath with a walk in shower. The main floor bath has a ceramic tile walk in shower with a double sink base. The upper bath has a tub/shower.

The main living area of the house has wood flooring. All bedrooms and the upstairs loft are carpeted. The two lower bedrooms have king beds. One upper bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom a queen and twin bed.

This house is located on a private drive-way and offers private seclusion. The back yard is wooded and borders an undeveloped area. A camp fire area and firewood is on site for your enjoyment. Fire wood is provided.

Great girlfriend trip.

We had a wonderful stay at Rick and Cathy’s house in Fish Creek. We were a group of seven HS girlfriends celebrating our 65th birthday year. There was plenty of room for us to sleep, eat meals, play games and hang out by the fire. (Which we did every night) The house is within walking distance of peninsula state park where we hiked and rode our bikes. We played golf, shopped and ate at lovely restaurants. Everything was within 10 minutes drive! Rick and Cathy’s house has everything you will ever need for a fun trip. Games, bag chairs, grill tools and the list goes on! The kitchen is well equipped and we wanted for nothing in our 7 day stay Thank you Rick and Cathy for sharing your house with us!

Always enjoy staying here. Everything was almost perfect. I wish there were cable TVs in the upstairs bedrooms. That’s my only complaint. Great house and great location!

Door County Girl's Trip

One of the best houses we have ever stayed in. Hostess was very accommodating and interested in our comfort. Immediate response from Hostess. Ample supple of linens, very clean, well stocked kitchen, garage door opener and access to garage, well maintained, thoughtful things like Kleenex in every room, lights on stair and in the bathroom at night. The house was close to downtown and all the activities that Door County has to offer but still in a quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac. Would definitely stay here again!

This was perfect for a quick weekend away with the family. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed. The location is quiet and close to town. The host could not have been more helpful and available to our needs. We’ll be back!

Generous Well Stocked Home & Lovely Yard

Most generously stocked rental home ever, with all essentials provided for use inside & outside! Very clean & lovely decor throughout. Think the hot water tank temp needs to be turned up, as hot showers are lacking! Suggest putting non skid mat or strips in master shower. Security & audio camera at front of house was not disclosed & we felt it was invasive (actually started looking for more), we’re not comfortable being owners’ entertainment! We didn’t mind watering grass for owners vs them popping in on property (which we thought was against Vrbo rules actually).

This property is owned by Rick & Cathy Ripley and we live in Green Bay, WI. It is our plan to retire in the Fish Creek area one day. We especially enjoy the fall season when the maple trees are offering their magnificent color change. The maples are abundant in this part of the state.

Why they chose this property

Fish Creek is the hub of Door County. This house is conveniently located in Door County making it only a 15-20 minute drive to most every activity you will want to go see.

What makes this property unique

We especially enjoy biking and walking in Peninsula State Park. A great walking trail is right out the back door and into the park. Our favorite bike ride is leaving from the house, travel east on Gibraltar Rd., take a left on Cty A and when you cross Hwy 42 your are in Peninsula State Park. We have found a very enjoyable 15 mile route which winds through the park, down to the park beach and back home. See me for details.
