Lovely Hidden Gem Amidst a Sea of Hotels
A good friend said on Thursday that he was heading to Miami on Sunday for a week-long conference, and he would love to fly in a day early to visit with me in Delray. I had no room and searched the area hotels during "Season" for availability. Prices were insane, so a friend in the Northeast suggested VRBO. I came across a listing that is too good to be true. A cottage five minutes away was available for the night at a most affordable price. Sue, the owner, was available to communicate that it would indeed be available and a one-night stay would work for her. We ended up arriving late, as Sue had expected. The outside light was on, and she gave us the code but said she would leave the door unlocked if we liked. The cottage was exactly as advertised, and the coffeemaker, with coffee, water in the fridge, and snacks on the counter, was a beautiful touch. When I arrived in the morning, my friend was in the backyard, sitting on one of the outdoor chairs, completing some work on his laptop. The Wi-Fi worked very well. What a terrific hidden gem. I recommend it wholeheartedly if available. Sue is a wonderful host and responds to all questions within a short period of time. I will be back with more guests. Kudos to Sue.
